The Chaos Curse (Kiranmala and the Kingdom Beyond #3), Volume 3 by Sayantani DasGupta

So first of all how are these covers so good? I love the style, the colors, and how they always have the moon in the background.

I was annoyed quite a bit by the characters early on in the book. For example when Kiran kind of gets a crush on Ned early on when he’s a big jerk. He literally tells her not to worry her pretty little head about it. Kiran annoyed me quite a lot when she was also kind of being bossy to Mati, and she decided to do the Trojan Horse plan and not tell Mati and somehow though people wouldn’t know the story? She was really bossy and acted like she knew best early on in the book. And then she keeps telling Neel, to his face, that she thinks his mom is evil. She gets mad when she thinks people are being biased against rakkhosh or something. But she definitely is, like in the beginning when all the rakkhosh she just saved are coming out of the water and she’s saying it’s an attack just because their rakkhosh. So I found her to be very frustrating. Thankfully her character did grow up and mature a bit more by the end which I really appreciate. Although Tuni still drove me insane. EVERY SINGLE TIME that he spoke. Tuni did not get better.

The plot was interesting, however and I did enjoy figuring out what the other stories were that were mentioned. So basically my main complaints for this one are the characters.
