I love all of Ruta's books so much and this one is not any different! Her work and words are so beautiful and knowing how much research and heart she puts behind every story just makes her the best at Historical Fiction. Please pick up this book and all of her others!
I think that the downfall of this book was the time jump forward. It took me out of the flow of the story and I found that the reintroduction was not as powerful as I thought it would be. I don't know how to feel about Daniel's sister being Ana's niece. It feels too nicely wrapped up if that makes sense.
