The Zoo Job by Keith R.A. DeCandido

Oh, this one was a million times better than the mess that was the first book in the series!! The publishers did so good switching to Keith for the author of the second book. This one was so enjoyable and truly felt like a Leverage episode. Decandido truly wrote in the voices of each of the characters so well, the plot was interesting and had the Leverage-esque twists and turns, and he used some of the show’s tropes
such as Sophie’s many aliases, FBI Parker and Hardison, planted/fake articles, and even Sterling shenanigans
but did it in such a way that makes you happy to read and isn’t gimmicky— because the rest of the book is such an enjoyable read that it’s not like he’s trying to make up any lost points by nostalgia factor, since the book is good on its’ own as well! I truly enjoyed this one, it’s a fun read, and after finding out he’s written some Trek novels I’m going to go look those up as well.
P. S. I really loved getting to see the Kerrigans again, too!
definitely a fun book, would recommend!
