Regarding the first line of the blurb, I haven't read 'The Goddess Test', nor do I like 'Dexter' (Go on hate me now) so I don't know much about those similarities here. For me it was a PNR where the girl has to fight off her inner devils that can take power in their own hands in the name of good. The best scene of the book was when the girl is tied down to the bed by her crush since she's becoming uncontrollable. But the problem with the scene is we don't get to observe it, as it's only described once she's back into herself. So the best scene of the book was just my imagination. Talk about meh.
