Gallows Drop by Mari Hannah

5.0

Been looking forward to this the latest book in the DCI Kate Daniels series and it didn't disappoint. Kate and her on/off lover are due to go on a well earned holiday in a couple of days when she is called to a murder - the victim is hanging from a gibbet. The detective due to cover her leave is one she has had dealings with before - none good - and their relationship does not improve during this case. Whilst investigating the murder Kate has to deal with family illness, disclosure of secrets and relationship issues. Thoroughly enjoyed the read and boy what an ending - can't wait for the next installment - don't take too long writing it Mari Hanna!! I'm sure I'm not the only reader that thinks these books would make a fantastic TV series.
