All My Heroes Are Broke by Ariel Francisco

2.0

if you’ve lived or live in new york city, this is a poetry collection that will likely speak to you and your experiences in ways that it didn’t for me. ariel francisco is adept at capturing the mundanity of metropolitan life; any artistic differences between us are purely my own. his poetry is incredibly clean-cut, linear, narrative stuff (at times prone to what feels like accidental repetition across subject matter / language), which isn’t really my preference when it comes to the genre, but that makes this book super accessible and easy to consume for those who do enjoy this style of writing.
