City of Incident - A Novel in Twelve Parts by Annie Zaidi

3.0

City of incident : A novel in twelve parts is indeed a collection of stories of 12 lives which are independent but sometimes overlap.

Stories of six women and six men are told in simple and short ways. The people who feel are living around us and the ones we sometimes pass by has stories of hope, love, care, betrayal, power and poverty to share. The man who lives by the overbridge, the woman who loves walking, the lady who cheats with train compartments, the lady who lives in the 16th floor and watches the lady in the 10th floor and whose husband she falls in love with, the security guard who doesnt trust anyone and whom nobody trusts, have different but stories with a similar foundation.
And we realise the answers to some questions we have in some other chapters in a different perspective.

The people who live around us, their stares, comments us , whom we comment and stare at, all have different stories and the thing which we see in common is taken in by each person in different perspectives. This book is pointing to that fact as well.
