Did not finish book. Stopped at 54%.

It feels like I’ve read twice as many pages and almost nothing has happened. The prose is good. I think its the structure. It goes back and forth between the past and present, but the past chapters dont add much and kill the momentum every time they hit. It spikes my care and I have to start from scratch.
