This was a solid second entry in Buther's  Cinder Spires series that we've waited so long for. Given the way it ended, I'm hopeful he plans on continuing the story for at least another book or two to wrap things up. I could see this being a smaller series like Codex Alera  but nothing so robust as the The Dresden Files.

I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and how they've changed and grown over the course of the book.
The death of Master Ferus and making Folly basically his heir was sweet and heart breaking all at the same time.
I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with the next book, how he navigates the alliances that are created, the enemies that are forged, and the paths moving forward.
