My Imaginary Mary by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, Jodi Meadows

4.0

It’s 18mumblemumble. Mary Shelley and Ada Lovelace just walked into the same London high society party. Lives were changed. Well…kinda.

My Imaginary Mary is perfectly humorous and filled with ALL the references! The Lady Janies are great at including historical figures even if they have to be vague about the dates for everything to work. Their allusions are both modern and historical making it a very fun ride.

The story follows Mary - sweetheart to Percy Shelley and daughter of Mary Wollstonecraft and William Godwin as well as Ada - aspiring mechanical engineer and daughter of Lord Byron.

Shenanigans ensue.
