Bhagavad Gita: The Song of God by Prabhavananda, Christopher Isherwood

4.0

The Bhagavad-Gita is one of the basic texts of Hinduism and is a fairly short introduction to some of its basic tenets. It is a difficult read for a Westerner - though this translation is quite poetic and beautiful - due to the paradoxical thought which predominates throughout.
For those looking to understand Hinduism, this is probably a good book to consult.
