After six books the story is finally over. I feel like I’m more of a sucker for long epilogues than this book gives. The finale was pretty good and wrapped up a lot of ends, but I would have liked to know more about what happened after.
It feels open ended enough to warrant a seventh book, that I know is not planned so far.
Similar to Ashes of the Tyrant and Fire in the Blood, the set up was a bit in the long side, while the second half of the book was booming with action, resolutions and more stuff than I could keep track off.
Overal a good book and I enjoyed the serie as a whole very much. I wouldn’t mind reading more books set in the Forgotten Realms, if Evans ever decides to write more. It gave me a lot of perspective on dragonborn, tieflings, warlocks and devils.
