okay so i had a lot of issues with this book. like a lot.
the idea for the book was great imo! a book about a black girl who created a video game, and then someone gets murdered irl because of the game, and then people start calling the game racist beacuse she only lets black people play. great concept right! (im not being sarcastic like i loved the idea thats why i picked it up in the first place)
but dude. ironically enough, this book was so racist. well, reverse racist, towards white people, which is still racist.
i hope i dont get hate for writing this, but it's my opinion. i'm saying, if a white person made a video game and black people weren't allowed to join, it would GET SO CANCELLED. but like, this main character expects it to be okay to make a game for just black people? WHY CANT WE ALL JUST COME TOGETHER, COLOR SHOULDNT MATTER! WE'RE ALL FRICKIN PEOPLE!!!
... and i thought the mc would realize that in the end and then i would have liked the book!
BUT SHE DIDNT!!! she just got mad, and just passed off all white people as racists. LIKE HELLO? THATS FALSE!!
so this book made me really angry.
the only thing i liked about this book was how she told off her stupid asf boyfriend for being a sexist ahole. i hated him and i wanted so badly to punch him in the face.
anyway, there's my review. dont be racist people. towards white people or black people or any people. just chill tf out.
