Teaching My Mother How to Give Birth by Warsan Shire

challenging dark emotional hopeful reflective sad medium-paced

4.0

This poetry collection, though short, is powerful. This collection chronicles the author's struggles with some very tough and life-altering events (ie. sexual assault, death, etc.) More than anything, this book is a love letter to self and embodies women empowerment. We are always stronger than we may think.
