Cat Delaney, a star of a TV series, received a donor heart. With her second chance at life, Cat decides to make a career switch and swap Hollywood for San Antonio to host a small broadcast on the local TV station WWSA for children who need to be adopted. Here she meets Alex Pierce, an ex-cop and famous crime writer. A series of fatal 'accidents' happen to other heart recipients and Cat realises that she might be in danger too. Alex wants to pretect her and their relationship is slowly progressing towards a romantic one.
