I wasn't sure about this book when I started it.  It wasn't really obvious where it was going and it just seemed to be a story about some dragons and their servants trying to survive when food was short.  Well that was until Luteis a wild dragon appeared and changed the course of the lives in Letum Wood forever. The storyline for Sanna and Luteis I though was great, it grew and developed thoughout the book.

At the same there was another newcomer in the form of Maximillion, this is where the book lost that final star.  The storyline for Isadora and Maximillion was weaker.  It did develop and there is definitely a good story in there somewhere.  Unfortuately it didn't really unfold in time to make the final chapters really sing.  Instead it was more of a "how did they get here?" moment that left me somewhat deflated after the big build up in the Sanna/Luteis line.

This is still a series worth pursuing and will be reaching for the seond book at some point to see if Isadora's side can grow more and I'm eager to find out where Sanna goes from here.
