A Hero Born: The Definitive Edition by Jin Yong
Did not finish book. Stopped at 7%.
Obviously this could simply be due to the translation, but I found the writing style not to my taste. And I haven't ever read wuxia and methinks it's not for me, either.
I love a good martial arts action movie with some kind of ridiculous/magical/unrealistic kung fu -- a la Kill Bill or Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, etc. -- but I guess in book form it just comes across too silly for me.
And I know I didn't give it very long, but I just wasn't finding myself at ALL getting invested in the story or characters. It felt a little discombobulated for me.
