The Laughterhouse by Paul Cleave

5.0

I yelled at this book as I read it. When things took a turn that hampered the protagonist, I spontaneously cried out, "No. Go away, you idiot. Not now." It was so wonderful to be so engaged with the story that I could not contain myself. My promise of an early night was abandoned with the urgent need to finish the book.

The portrayal of my former home town made me ponder the things that lie beneath the surface. I look forward to reading more by Paul Cleave.
