Less confusing than book 1 (less jumping around with timelines). I love the Nigerian setting, and especially enjoyed Walter's reportage section.
Despite being the second book in a trilogy, it didn't feel like a filler building up to book 3 - I really like the way Tade Thompson has written the books starting from one character's viewpoint in Rosewater, and then building out to a wider range of viewpoints in this book. I'm looking forward to book 3!
