The Orphan's Tale by Pam Jenoff

2.0

"Why are we so hard on each other? I wonder. Hadn't the world already given us challenges enough?

"'Going together once more.' I say. I let them lead me slowly from the museum, feeling the unseen hands that guide us."

This book offered an interesting perspective during WWII. It follows two ladies, one is a young woman who's family kicked her out since she was pregnant out of wedlock, and another of a circus performer who's family disowns her once she marries a German officer. There were lots of twists and turns in this story, but ultimately it hasn't been my favorite read. There were many devastating parts, and the ending I could not have predicted.
