I didn't read the book but I just watched the premiere of the play before it went to Broadway (it's available on Youtube).

It was so amazing. The amount of work Dustin Lance Black put into it is so huge. I have read his memoirs so I knew how much he had worked on this case but literally seeing it like this, watching it in a play form is breathtaking.

The actors are all incredible (especially Chris Colfer).

I was deeply moved at the end when the actual plaintiffs of this case, as well as the lawyers, came on the stage. You can see that they're all thankful for DLB's work but also they're simply all congratulating each other for this incredible thing they managed to do together.

And believe it or not, the play is also funny!
