Before Adam by Jack London

4.0

For such a tiny book, this really packs a punch. I loved imagining the world before man, when man was not man, but also not NOT man. Sometimes modern life makes it difficult to connect to the fact that our earliest ancestors were not humans as we know ourselves to be. Yet in some form we did exist, along with other man-like peoples, and eventually evolved and conquered our way into the form we are now. This book is such a good reminder of that, and a great way of connecting to our ancient roots.
