Teddy Spenser Isn't Looking for Love by Kim Fielding

3.0

This was a cute romcom. faster paced then I generally like, but it is a staple of the genre, so doesn’t bother me that much. But I will say going from being enemies to wanting to get married within a week does stretch my ability to believe this quite a bit.

I really enjoyed Teddy and Romeo’s relationship. I like that the author didn’t get bogged down in them disliking each other and didn’t really have any miscommunications. They just needed time to get over preconceptions and they did that quickly (but maybe a little too quickly)

I gave three stars because some things, like the setup were just a little too contrived and I really couldn’t get behind the idea of a smart vase. And some of the tropes, like the “there was only one bed” felt a little unrealistic in this scenario.

All in all, I really enjoyed the idea of the book, but when all the parts were put together, it felt like the quintessential romcom, not bad but not great either.
