Five Ghosts Volume 1: The Haunting of Fabian Gray by Frank J. Barbiere

4.0

An adventure story featuring a guy possessed by 5 literary ghosts who's skills can be called upon to help him in certain situations. As the story unfolds, we find out how he came to be possessed in the first place (something called a dreamstone) and that there are forces who want it for themselves.
Of course, magic always comes with a price and so he's nerfed through most of the tale, meaning that all the whizzy special effects and kept to a minimum.
There was a fair amount of content here, but it did feel somewhat lacking in substance.
I also would have liked the ghosts to have been 'fleshed' out a little more, Their use was fleeting.
They appeared to be:
Sherlock Holmes - useful for deduction and noticing stuff
Robin Hood (probably) - he chooses archery
A Samurai - good with a sword
A Magician (possibly Merlin) but never named - Magic
A Vampire (possibly Dracula)  - it gets pretty dark when he's in use.
