The Big Money by John Dos Passos, E.L. Doctorow

4.0

The third volume of John Dos Passos' U.S.A and thankfully more entertaining than the second volume 1919. The Big Money presents the reader with the (expected) bleak and depressing conclusion that modernity and everything that comes with it (eg. capitalism, decadence, overindulgence, alienation) ultimately marked the end of the Lincoln Republic and the values it represented.
