The Holiday Trap by Roan Parrish

4.0

I really liked this! The New Orleans setting was especially well-written and evocative and made me want to go back immediately. Both romances worked for me really well and despite the relatively short time frame of the book, they didn’t seem rushed to me.

I will say the discussion questions at the end talked about how the four mains were all white despite the demographics of New Orleans, and that’s definitely something that could have been changed - I may have missed some early descriptions but honestly I spent most of the book picturing Truman as black until the line near the end describing him as having light brown hair. Still, I liked the rest of the diversity and how this book dealt with romantic and familial relationships.
