Kin by Lili St. Crow

3.5

Although sometimes predictable and  VERY infuriating, I enjoyed this book so much more than Wayfarer! What really irked me, however, is that Ruby kept coming up with excuses for Conrad/Adam (Who I absolutely hated!!). I know it wasn't her fault, and her judgement was clouded, but I would have thought that she would have been smarter to recognise how toxic their relationship was, or at least stand up for herself like she would for Cami and Ellie. Additionally, the miscommunication between the trio and how Cami, Ellie and Ruby each have their turn of feeling like "the third wheel" and that "the other two will be better off without them" grew quite tedious  AFTER READING IT IN ALL 3 BOOKS!  *sighs*

Also, is that detective dude named Haenche (or however you spell it) her dad? I thought so, but now I'm not so sure. I wish that it was made more clear.

What I did love was seeing Nico again! I've been waiting for him to make an appearance since Nameless.

Despite some level or irritation I felt while reading this book, it was a fast and easy read to get me out of my reading slump of sorts.
