Becoming: Genre, Queerness, and Transformation in NBC's Hannibal by Kavita Mudan Finn, EJ Nielsen

informative medium-paced

4.0

Hannibal is my favorite TV show, so I had to get this book once I heard about it. If you're a huge fannibal, then this book will be for you. It's a deep analysis of so many different angles of the show. I think my favorite essays were the ones about Dolarhyde as a trans narrative, Hannibal and colonialism, and the one about Bedelia. Some of these essays are incredibly academic and dense, making them not easy reads. But they were very good and this book is one to complete any fannibal's shelf.
