Dead Men Whistling by Graham Masterton

5.0

Graham Masterton is truly a literary genius. This book was truly gripping. I was worried about how this book would turn out, wondering if it would be solely around the drug smuggling or if there would be more gore in it like the earlier books, I was not disappointed, I was glad that in this book Katie’s sexual “appetite” as such was much more reserved which let the story flow, and it didn’t feel as if it was needed. Following Katie’s newest ‘adventures’ trying to find the truly twisted criminals sawing off Garda’s heads and placing whistles in their windpipes and trying to shit down the drug smuggling is truly something of a nightmare. Her finally catching the killers in such exceptional circumstances was truly amazing. The twists and turns and the sad untimely demise of her loving father truly tugs at your heart, I found myself crying with her at the end. The way to book ended with her in the beach finding out about his death was perfectly placed and a good end to it, leaving you wanting more. I cannot wait for his next book later this year.

(I happened this all made sense as it is 2am)
