I LOVED this
Goodbyes are so incredibly heartbreaking for me so this really hit home. It brought back all the feelings I had the last weeks of summer before my freshman year: the last time my friends hung out together and having to say goodbye to them, my people; knowing I would be starting a whole new part of my life but not knowing what would happen; the overwhelming panic that I was going to a place where I didn't know anyone; saying goodbye to my family after moving in for the first time. Just so many feels. This book did such a great job of capturing them all.
I adored Clare and Aidan. This book did a great job making them a realistic couple. They loved and cared for each other, but they had fights. They had valid reasons for wanting to break up.
I liked how this tackled tension between friends, too; the fights that happen when things change.
I loved that most of this story took place in one night. It was a fun adventure, and it never felt rushed.
I thought I didn't want that last "prologue." I thought I would want things to be left unknown, but my heart felt so warm after reading it. I loved the ending.
One thing that annoyed me: gobsmacked and sublime aren't hard words. I think they're pretty commonly known??
