Batgirl, Volume 1: Batgirl Rising by Bryan Q. Miller, Cully Hamner, Trevor Scott, Lee Garbett, Phil Noto

4.0

A pretty fun book, with Stephanie Brown taking over the role of Batgirl as a sort of outside-observer into the cloistered Bat-family in the wake of Batman RIP. The writing is light and fun, closer in tone to something like Spider-Man than a normal Bat title. The art leaves something to be desired, though -- it does its job most of the time, but doesn't really have a lot of oomph. A fun trip, though.
