Bobbie Faye's (Kinda, Sorta, Not Exactly) Family Jewels by Toni McGee Causey

4.0

This books was simultaneously hilarious and thrilling. You can't predict what Bobbie Faye is going to get up to next, and I genuinely didn't figure out (and perhaps didn't care so much) about whodunit until the denouement. I was much more interested in what BF was going to do or say next. Having two hunky specimens of manhood doesn't hurt the plot either.

While most of the plot was too insane to be believable, it was still very enjoyable. Best of all were those little bits of humor thrown in that perhaps non-southerners might miss. (I can imagine my LSU alumn father's horror if I had gone to 'Bama!)

Even though I picked this book up without realizing it was part two in a series, I didn't need the first book to understand what was going on. However, after reading this book, I am definitely going to pick up the other books in the series. I hope they are equally funny.
