I have read this book many times as a teenager but re-reading it as an adult makes me feel a bit "ick". I was disturbed by how can the author wrote about sexuality. At one point Spock helps a woman overcome some mental issues and apparently that means that she OWES him something, "even her love". What?! This is a character she actively disliked but she owes him because he helped her? Nope. Ick. It has coloured the book for me now.
