Goodbye from Nowhere by Sara Zarr

It’s hard to let go of the idea of something. Especially when the idea is important to you. But if you don’t let go of the idea, you can’t actually live in reality.

People have lives outside of what they show to others and we shouldn’t box them up into ideas that we have of them: what we think they should be and shouldn’t be. I liked the message of this but I didn’t like the plot itself much and the protagonist was so whiny.
