This story wasn't as dark as I anticipated! Don't get me wrong, Phoenix is very much a morally grey man - he's connected to the McGowan brothers. How could he not be😆
The entire relationship development between Phoenix and Laura wassweet and heartfelt, with a dash of unhinged. Both, especially Phoenix, just wanted someone to accept and love them as they are. Phoenix backstory broke my heart.
I finished this story in a couple of hours. A good quick spicy read. If this genre is up your alley, I highly recommend looking into the authors work!
