You Can't Spell America Without Me: The Really Tremendous Inside Story of My Fantastic First Year as President Donald J. Trump by Alec Baldwin, Kurt Andersen

3.0

The book starts out strong, with the writers channelling the Saturday Night Live (SNL) version of US president Donald Trump. This is not a surprising statement, since Alec Baldwin who portrays/parodies Trump in the SNL sketches is one of the writers. As the book gets further and further into the first year of the presidency some of that drops away and becomes a bit repetitive. It also becomes more difficult to follow due to the many changes to the inner circle, which follows real live events so is not fully the fault of the authors. The changes could have been spelled out a bit better though, especially the Chief of Staff switch from Priebus to Kelly.
