Oh dear. Oh dear. I'm not even sure I can put into words how disappointed I am.
Seeing the synopsis for the first time, I just wanted the book there and then; who can't be intrigued by the idea of a magical serial killer?! It sounds so exciting! ...it was far from exciting. The book dragged, it was dull and, most of all, for me, Eve just didn't grow into a character that I cared for; if I end up not caring what happens to the main character in a book, either way, it's usually a flop for me.
Also, with Eve's blackouts, her relationships with Zach just really came off too much as instalove (another one of my absolute dislikes). The romance was cheesy to say the least and, oh god, making magic by kissing - rolled my eyes every. single. time. Needless to say I rolled my eyes a lot throughout this book.
