Dogboy v Catfish by Amanda Greenslade, Leon Ernst, Luke Gracias

This came to me via NetGalley, and the synopsis was unique. When it started I wasn't sure if I would continue as it wasn't grabbing me with the first bit.
I am very glad I continued on. It is an intriguing set-up, and the narrative flows nicely with an almost reporter like style.
I was rooting for a few characters, and really enjoyed getting to know them. I would love it if the detective duo is in another mystery, but I am also fine if this is singular tale as it was told quite nicely.
I also think the writer's afterword was compelling.
