The Magic Goes Away by Larry Niven

4.0

"What if magic were a nonrenewable resource, and we were almost out?"

This book is creative, short, and beautifully illustrated. It has obvious parallels to the environmental movement without being boringly identical, or beating you over the head with it. I deduct one star because some aspects of the book didn't age terribly well (mainly the lone female character who has sex with one of the heroes after knowing him for a few pages).
