Child of Fire by Harry Connolly

Ray Lilly is the most refreshing, wonderful character I have found in a long time. A *criminal* - with a moral compass that is exactly true. Even when he doesn't get to follow it. There is no *cool factor* that the author imbibes him with and that completely makes him believably hyper real - in that way that he's *real* but you want to hang out with him through the book. That is really hard to do and it's done to perfection.

And Annalise is to be treasured - completely tough and there is absolutely no girlyness in her. I love her.

The story is told through Ray's limited POV and done so well I was on the edge of my seat the entire book.

Very much recommend.
