Wooow. This was an almost perfect sequel, like for real. I loved it, I swear I did, but the absence of the romance of the first book just killed me, that's why I decided not to give the last star to this one. I had to struggle a little bit at the beginning but it’s totally worth it for the rest of the book. It was just amazing how the story is developed in this sequel.
On one hand, we can feel Karou's maturity and Akiva's guilt like never before. She feels responsible for the war and for the chimeras' survival.
On the other hand, we have Suzanne and Mick trying to find Karou to help her. Those were the best and the funniest parts of the book. I couldn't help laughing out loud all the time reading their conversations and journey.
I already want to read the final book of this amazing and exciting trilogy!
