Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo

I actually really enjoyed this book. Which is surprising because I'm particularly picky when it comes to children's/middle grade books at my current age. But this book had just enough childhood innocence mixed with real life to be rather enjoyable. It was a quick read but actually had a really good message.
This is a really simple book. Basically just a few weeks with a young girl going about discovering people in her town she just moved to, making great friends, mostly adults, and about how Winn-Dixie brought them together.
This was really cute and a very quick read. I read this in one day, just not all in one sitting. I'm probably gonna give this to my 9 year old cousin to read. It actually does have some nice messages in it.
