A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle

5.0

I didn’t expect it to be actually thrilling! I always assumed that it’s a children’s book - a really good one, but exciting only for the younger ones. I couldn’t be more wrong. I don’t particularly enjoy detective novels, but I’ll have to make an exception for this one. It was a page-turning delight.

I see so many reviews criticising the second part of the story, but I personally found it very enjoyable and refreshing in how different the writing style was.
