What a sweet book and I'm glad that I ended up liking it as much as everyone was saying in their reviews.

August is one of those characters that I will probably never forget. I loved how he was kind of a Star Wars geek and when he was talking about certain characters or situations, I totally knew what he was talking about.

I was surprised that the book had different POVs because you usually don't see that in books that are geared for the younger crowd. I really enjoyed it because I loved hearing the same story that August was telling but from the other points of view like his friend Jack and his sister Olivia. The only part that was kind of weird and I tried looking online about it was the section from Justin's POV. It was the only part that had no quotes when someone was talking and it was written in all lower case. I loved all of the educators in this book, great role models.

Even though I work in a high school, I still bought this for my library. Yes, August is in 5th grade but I think this is a story that all grade levels need to be exposed too especially because of the whole concept of bullying.

The only part that I was emotional during was when
SpoilerAugust's dog Daisy died
.

Overall such a great story and message too. I was rooting for August throughout the whole book.
