Alan Moore's Writing for Comics by Alan Moore

5.0

Moore provides comforting commentary and several of his works and the process involved in their creation for aspiring writers of comics or literature in general. There's a lot in here that reminds me of Stephen King's no bs take on the writing process and a lot that's completely different. Moore presents a structure and a process to begin before actually putting pen to paper (a process he urges the reader to ignore in his afterword, written 15 years later). I think though, for people just beginning the writing process, knowing that there's a process can be a comforting starting off point before learning the skills necessary to become more individualistic.
