The Age of Magical Overthinking: Notes on Modern Irrationality by Amanda Montell
3.0
This book was different from what I expected. I would describe this as a collection of personal essays, woven together as a sort of "encyclopedia of human biases".
It felt very personal and intimate, while also actually teaching me about biases I wasn't clearly aware of before, and helped me pay more attention to the ones I do act on at times.
I think I can recommend this book to anyone looking for a combination of psychological knowledge (although surface level) and personal essays/biographical stories.
