Miss Marple takes a walk down memory lane at Bertram's Hotel, and is pleasantly surprised that the idyllic, old English atmosphere has been frozen in time. But Police Chief Insepctor "Father" Davy suspects there's danger hiding behind this impeccable facade, and Miss Marple is perfectly placed to lend a hand.

A common theme, with Miss Marple taking a backseat and most of the story and detective work centred on another figure. There were so many elements to this story that it was hard to keep track, although overall it was an immersive and intriguing story.
