This novel came out of the gates strong. Fantastic dialogue and interesting characters. Then it meandered all over the map with nothing to drive the narrative.
At one point I expected notes from Homer's "The Oddysey" but nope, just a cyclops. Nothing was explained even by the end of the book. Conflicting prophesies, a mystically locked town, a mythical beast, oh, and a protagonist who is not mentioned in the central prophesy but is pivotal to the final arbitrary victory. It's a mess.
