THIS BOOK IS SO CUTE OH MY GOD

The son of the U.S president, Alex, has to pretend to be best friends with Prince Henry after they ruin the wedding cake at Henry's brother's wedding. However, fake friendship eventually evolves into something more, and soon enough they're trying their best to avoid an international scandal that might ruin both nations' reputations.

There are so many things I love about this book! Firstly, Alex and Henry are ADORABLE, rivals to lovers *chef's kiss*, I loved their playful banter and their flirting, and oh my god, they're so in love it hurts. The fact that they had to keep their relationship a secret was so sad, but also it felt so good when they announced it to the world! Definitely one of my favorite fictional couples! I love them both SO much!

I also loved the side characters! Alex, June, and Nora's friendship were adorable, the girls are awesome, btw. Bea and Pez were also amazing! I love how aggressive Zahra is. The side characters made this book so much fun to read!

Alex actually doesn't realize he's bi until he kisses Henry, so throughout the book he's trying to figure things out and come to terms with his sexuality. I think was written pretty well. I'm bi, and I just wanna say he's such a mood and I love him for it.

ALSO, obviously, the public eventually finds out, and the overwhelming support from people just made me scream in joy! Literally, THE PRIDE *squeals*. Those scenes made me feel so happy and warm inside my god I LOVED IT. I'm smiling just thinking about it lmao

There are some negative reviews about the political part of the book, and politics does play a huge part in it. There's a whole plot about the president's (Alex's mother) campaign for the election.
Now, I'm not gonna sit here and pretend I know shit about politics, I don't. I don't even live in the U.S, so obviously I didn't understand a lot of it, but I still enjoyed the book nonetheless. It's fiction, after all, so it's not like this is actually happening in the real world.

I definitely recommend this book, but I understand why some people would dislike it, and I can't change their opinions. I'm writing this part to remind people who wish to read this, that politics are a part of the plot, so if you're not okay with that, maybe rethink before reading it.

I hope you enjoy your read!
