Sweet & Simple Patchwork Gifts: 25 Charming Projects to Make Using Classic Quilt Motifs by Hisako Arai, Yoko Sanjo

4.0

Just as it said, this was a collection of small patchwork projects, mainly a variety of bags, mats/pot-holders. All appeared to be hand-stitched (not that you can't use a machine, of course) and vary in difficulty and style. Some require quilting, others are just patchwork.

I wouldn't recommend this book for a complete beginner, but as long as you have some sewing and quilting/patchwork experience you should be able to manage these projects. Don't be dismayed by the brevity of instructions included with each project - there's far more info in the back!
